Sketch Frenzy Friday 7/27/12

Hello to all my blogging friends, I hope this post finds you all well and happy!

I have been working all summer and boy am I tired. I am a child care provider for an 8 year old and boy are we having fun. She is fast as a pistol, funny and very sweet and very, very chatty! But she is a pleasure to have around. I am just not used to being around young ones all the time I had forgotten that they are a lot of work. I have totally neglected my blog this summer too.Yikes! (Scroll down to see what I grew)
We had some family came in last weekend then Jeff's son stayed for a week two weeks ago from out of town and it has been crazy hot around here and time is just flying by...When does school start?????? I need a break lolol.

So thought I had better get my Sketch Frenzy Friday card done and posted while I had a few minutes. I know once the weekend comes around I will not be around much again. Looks like we have things to do both days too. I love the summer because you can pack so much into a day.

The Olympics are starting Friday night and we are going to a Opening Ceremony / Pot Luck over at a friends house I am sooooo excited. I really LOVE the Olympics.

I believe I am the creator of this weeks sketch so I hope you like it and give it a try.
This is what I came up with
I won a swap prize a few weeks ago and wanted to use some of the goodies that were from the new Holiday Catalog. The 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon is really pretty and the 3 1/2" tool is super soft and very flexible to work with. The designer buttons are super fun too. I used the Comfort Cafe' DSP
Itty Bitty Banners stamp set paired with the Framelits Bitty Banners Die for the Thank You Banner. I am really getting a lot of use out of these two new items. To finish it off I used Raspberry Ripple ink and the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine.

Here is a look at the inside.
I used the From My Heart sentiment. That is all there is to it. Please give my sketch a try and show us your creation here http://sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com/
Please don't miss what Robbie has going on over at her blog we are always in for a treat. http://inkedx2.blogspot.com/

Now, here a few pictures of the red grapes that I picked yesterday. This year we had over 13 large clusters. Last year I only had two small ones. The grapes are small but very sweet. This year is the first time we ever had such a huge yield. This vine is four years old so it is on it's way to maturity. Next year we should see a better return on the green ones as I think that vine is only 3 years old. I left a couple little clusters on that vine for our guardian lizard so he would keep the spiders and other insects from eating away at the red grapes. Looks like he did his job well.

I put the grapes in a large red bowl but you really couldn't see how big the bowl was so I added a regular size drinking glass to the photo to show the size of the bowl. That is a two gallon pitcher in the background as well. I have two more clusters on the vine that were just not quite ready to cut. Yummy!

That's all from my little patch of dirt today. I hope to get a couple posts done next week too. I miss my blog and all of you! Go create something fun!
