Paper Creaft Crew Card Challenge #132

Hello to all my blogging friends, I hope this post finds you all well and happy!

It finally stopped snowing thank goodness. At least we are not snowed in like some people are. I could not imagine! Stay warm and safe everyone!

I found a really fun card challenge over at the Paper Craft Crew Blog today and thought I would give it a try. http://www.papercraftcrew.com/pcccs-132-card-sketch/
I just loved working with this sketch. There were so many details on it that made it so fun.
Here is the sketch;

I needed a birthday card for a friend so I thought this sketch would be perfect for a fun birthday card. This is what I came up with,

I really liked the way this card turned out. This card is fun bright and very festive. I know she will like it.

I left the inside blank so far because I'm not sure if I am going to have a bunch of friends sign it yet? It just depends if I can get everyone together in time or not!

Here is a look at the inside.

I used the Birthday Bash DSP and the Balloon Bash stamp set to create this card. I think the most difficult item to make was the focal image piece. I had to stamp the HB stamp three different times. The large HB once in Bermuda Bay. The Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow floral side pieces once and the Happy Birthday sentiment in Calypso Coral once. Cut each part out and and reassemble it all back together again. The floral side part of the stamp was stamped directly on to a Whisper White scrap using markers and then I ran it through the Big Shot using the Framelits Labels Die. Then, I was able to cut out the HB Banner and the Happy Birthday sentiment separately and place them on top of the labels Die piece. I used the Boho Blossom Punch to make the flower images. I had a strip of a white Doily left over from another project that worked perfectly tucked in the space required. I had a strip of Lost Lagoon Ribbon that I used as well as adding a strip of Coastal Cabana Thick Baker's Twine to make the bow.

That's all there was to this card I sure hope you give this weeks Paper Craft Crew's  Card Sketch a try. I thought it made for such a beautiful looking card.

Chat soon,
Patrice
