26,000 Hits and More

Hello to all my blogging friends. I hope this post finds you all well and happy!

Wow this has been some week! I have so much to share with you. First off, My Little Patch of Dirt passed 26,000 Hits can you believe that. I want to thank all of you who check out my little blog and helped make this happen! A BIG THANK YOU!!!!! Second, I was approached by a couple of the Owners of the Sketch Frenzy Friday Blog and was asked to become one of the Members of their Design Team! Oh My Goodness not in my wildest dreams would I have thought this would happen. How stinking cool is that! Of course I accepted are you kidding me (BIG SMILE). What a privileged it is to be considered as a part of that team, those ladies are amazing artists.
My first submission will show up tomorrow I believe. I hope you all will check out their weekly blog hop and submit your cards for their challenges. They have given me a lot of inspiration in the past.

I am still working on a big tutorial that I will post by this weekend so I didn't have a lot of time to create something new. The back ordered Build a Blossom Punch that I ordered last week finally came in Yippee, gotta love the man in brown!, I was dying to make a card I saw on Sharon Fields blog http://createdbyu.blogspot.com several month ago using this Punch. It is a CASE of a CAS card lolol I was so impressed with what she saw in this stamp set that I said I had to try it out once it came in. I would never had thought of this cute little card had I not saw it on her blog. Thanks for the inspiration Sharon.

Is this not the most darling little Ball Gown you have ever seen!
You know  I was browsing blogs today and saw that this color theme will work over at Create with Connie and Marys blog challenge. I really enjoy doing their challenges too.  What do you think! Please go on over and check them out OK. http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com

Supplies used:
Old Olive, Not Quite Navy and Whisper Whit Card Stock.
A little scrap form this weeks background paper using Presto Patterns Designer Series Paper for the Gown.
Certainly Celery, Marina Mist and Baja Breeze Classic Ink.
Textured Impression Framed Tulips Folder & The Big Shot.
8 Tiny Tiny Pearls.
I stamped the little stamp piece on the DSP scrap from a couple days ago and cut it out and trimmed it a bit to make the bodice. I punched out the scallop flower petal and mounted them on a piece of the Not Quite Navy card stock. Then just added that piece to the other layers and the Tulip Folder then to the Old Olive card base.

Thats all there is to this little CAS. I'm getting to like CAS cards how about you? They are quick and easy and great if you are in a pinch for a card.

I did want to add one more thing to this post! Blog Candy!!!! To celebrate the 26,000 hits and the SFF announcement. How about one of the special cards I am making the tutorial of this weekend. Anyone who is interested please leave me a comment on this post and tomorrows debut of my first Sketch Frenzy Friday DT post. Wish me luck and send me some love, I could use it (Nervous Smile).

Now it's your turn to go and create something fun.

Great job on being selected for the design team (actually saying this again). I am so excited for you to get all these hits. You don't need to include me in the draw for blog candy since I am lucky enough to get one of your cards every month. I just wanted to say CONGRATS!!

Hugs
Carey and Roscoe
