Sketch Frenzy Friday 032511

Hello to all my blogging friends. I hope this post finds you all well and happy!

It's Sketch Frenzy Friday Yippee! http://sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com  Thank goodness this is a really nice sketch. I took a lot of liberties with this one. This is my version of a CAS Card. It is just about as CAS as I can get. I really try but sometimes I just do not have the finess that many of the other ladies seem to have with CAS cards. I like the Shabby Chic, Vintage and Distressed style of card so for me this was a challenge.
Here is their Sketch
This is my submission.
Supplies used:
So Saffron, Melon Mombo, Elegant Eggplant, Very Vanilla card stock.
Tea Party DSP
Hostess Level One Stamp Set - Silhouette Sentiments
Markers, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mombo, Glorious Green, Bermuda Bay  & Basic Black.
Pearls, Textured Embossing Folder-Square Lattice, Big Shot.

That's it, really simple. I cut the Elegant Eggplant into 3 strips then ran it through the Embossing Folder. NOTE: card stock is hard to cut once it has been run through the Big Shot. I colored the flower with markers then (Huffed) on it a couple times to rehydrate the ink prior to stamping the image.

It's raining again here is CA and they are even working on our dirt road. It had gotten pretty bad last night they don't want anyone getting a flat tire or driving into the mountain so they work on the road all the time. You think they would break down and pave it???? This is a great job for Boys who like to play in the mud he looks like he is having a ball!
I hope you all are safe, warm  and dry.
Chat tomorrow.

Now it is your turn go create something fun.

How I remember those rainy days in southern CA. It is the biggest thing in the world they have to report on the news. We just laugh thinking about it here. We probably get more rain in one day than we got in the whole season back there. Love the card, the design and what you chose to do it.
