Sketch Frenzy Friday 031111

Hello all my blogging friends. I hope this post finds you all well and happy!

I thought I would share a photo of Casey my mom's little dog with you today. She is so darn cute and looks so pitiful in her collar. I had a friend (Thanks Juli) who was a Vet Tech. come over a take a look at her for me. Her leg was quite swollen yesterday and I got freaked out. I had to soak her leg a few times, well really her whole bottom half hehehe in warm water to help clean out some of the yucky stuff that was developing. That seems to have done the trick as she is much better today! Juli said the leg could swell on and off for a few days and to keep an eye on it but that the soaking would help. She is recovering nicely today and milking it for all it is worth lololol. Here she is with my daughter playing a wounded baby dog (the outer back leg was bitten at the bend).

In between all that is going on around here I make my self take a few minutes to create something. It helps me say sane in the midst of all the madness. I love card making for just that reason! Here is my submission for the Sketch Frenzy Friday Challenge.  http://sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com
Thank goodness for a nice easy one for a change. My mind is running in 5 million directions these days. I even stuck with my go too colors for simplicity.
I then decorated the inside of the card for a little extra Wow factor! Let me know what you think about it or if you have any other questions just let me know.

I was out in the garden this afternoon watching the little dog to make sure she doesn't get any more fancy ideas about escaping! It was such a nice day, I thought I would do some watering and Weeding (AGAIN !) Where do those darn weeds come from anyhow. I just weeded last week and now they are back Arrrge. Well as you all know My Little Patch of Dirt Does its own thing and while I was out there I noticed I had better cut down some of the Swiss Chard that was growing out of control. Is it a winter veggie?? I didn't have my camera so I cut a bunch down and brought it into the kitchen. I started to chop it up and thought I better show you how much was there first. I cut it up and boiled it until tender it was soooo good and fresh Yum! What a treat fresh greens picked right out of the garden is.
I better get going to bed I'm pooped and just need to crash. I promise I will make the tutorial for the card from yesterday for you tomorrow. Goodnight sleep tight! Now it's your turn you go create something fun.

Yes,,,swiss chard loves cooler weather. If you keep picking through the summer and mulch it good, it likes the spring too. YOu can blanch it and freeze it like spinach.
